Tsitsipas on various interviews revealed he is a Roger Federer fan from the Age of 6. The legend has inspired him on every level of his game play.

“Thought I Was Dreaming” – Stefanos Tsitsipas Recalls First Practice Session With Roger Federer

 The first time he encountered Roger was at a practice session.

“I love his forehand, single handed backhand, his serve and everything”, Stefanos said. 

“First time it was like unbelievable. I thought I was dreaming, honestly. But as more you play with him, the more normal it seems but at the same time it can’t seem normal(sic) because it’s Federer, it’s not any other player.”

 The duo spent a lot of time together during Laver cup. “Expressing myself more. I spent a lot of time with him during the Laver Cup in September and I learned a lot of things from him. Even the way you carry yourself, the way you speak, the way you think, you can pass this to someone else. I felt really inspired.” 

It is very evident he loves and idolize Federer very much

“He(Roger) is a very good guy. You can have very interesting conversations with him”. Stefanos reflected on Roger.
