ATP Players in Hunger Games

Tennis players in the Hunger Games 1. Novak Djokovic - Acts all funny before the games, turns quite psycho in the arena. Could kill anyone. Wants to form an alliance with Rafa and Roger, but gets rejected, which hurts his feelings and he targets them first. Weapon of choice: throwing knives - fast, quiet, and effective. 2. Roger Federer - His brains are the most dangerous thing about him. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t have the skills, he has the most skills in the arena. Everyone expected him to be in an alliance with Rafa, so they didn’t even ask - except Novak. His weakness: kind of expects others to play fair. Weapon of choice: bow and arrows, but a spear also goes - aim and accuracy are the key.  3. Rafael Nadal - He’s the muscles of the pair. Very hungry for survival, has the skills, but sometimes acts before he thinks. The traps of the arena are a bigger deal for him than the tributes. Weapon of choice: something that requires brute force, an axe probably. 4. Dominic Thiem ...

"In my ranking of all time after Roger Federer, I put Rod Laver" - Stan Smith Former US open and Wimbledon champion Stan Smith name Roger Federer as his pick for the greatest of all time (GOAT). Stan Smith also heaped praise on the game and attitude of 19-year-old Jannik Sinner.  Only Roger Federer will be successful with wooden racquet Stan who retired in 1985 before the change in racquet technology knew very well on handling wooden racquets. The 73 year old says only Roger Federer can handle the play with wooden racquet.  "With the wooden racquet the game is necessarily different, less powerful and slower. If you didn't hit the ball in the perfect centre of the frame, it meant trouble. I think only one who would be easily successful with the wooden racquet is Roger Federer. He plays as we did. Clean," Smith continued.  The GOAT Debate The GOAT debate in tennis has been raging after Rafael Nadal also won 20 Grand Slam titles at the Roland Garros this year. Des...

Image
‘I would be surprised if Roger Federer isn’t a Grand Slam semi-finalist next year,’ says Jim Courier It would be ‘a surprise’ if Roger Federer does not reach a Grand Slam semi-final next year, according to Jim Courier. Courier, though, thinks the Swiss ace will still be able to go deep in the toughest tournaments around. Nonetheless, the 50-year-old engaged in a conversation on ‘Tennis Channel’ where he mentioned Federer can still achieve wonders. He compared Federer’s current carrer-path with that of Jimmy Conors when he was 39-years-old. “I would be frankly surprised if Federer doesn’t make  a [Grand Slam] semi next season, again if he is healthy,” Courier said. However, Courier does attach one caveat, and it is the same one he has for Federer’s fellow-legend Serena Williams. “If Roger and Serena can have the good serve percentage and they still have a lively right arm, they’re still gonna be awfully tough to beat.” Federer says he is on track to return at the Australian O...
